Happy Halloween

Anne Bailey dressed up as a sunflower for her first Halloween. We had fun yesterday going around and visiting people and showing off the cutest sunflower ever. Last night we cooked out at home and handed out candy to the trick or treaters. Mike, Daintry, Field, Amy, and Natty also came over to watch the state game. We had a great night watching State win.

Anne Bailey's Baptism

Anne Bailey was baptized yesterday at First Presbyterian Church. It was such a special day for her and our family and we are so proud. She wore the same christening gown that Ruff wore 30 years ago. It belonged to Daintry's grandfather and was also worn by Nat, Daintry, Natty, Field and many others. It is such a special gown and I am so glad that Anne Bailey is now a part of that tradition.

Anne Bailey behaved perfectly and slept most of the service. She did wake up for the baptism and loved having all the attention on her. Anne Bailey had lots of family and friends there to support her. She is such a lucky little girl to have so many wonderful people that love her. After the service we had everyone over for lunch to celebrate the big day. We had such a great day and are so thankful to everyone for coming.

Pumpkin Patch

Today Natty and I took Anne Bailey to Oxford to the pumpkin patch at St. Peters Episcopal Church. I know she is a little young to pick out pumpkins this year but I think this will be a great tradition to start. Plus it is a good excuse to show off her pretty fall dress.

Excited about going on a little trip

Since she cannot really sit up yet we just kind of propped her up on some pumpkins. Can't you tell by her face that she is loving it.

Just relaxing

Her little feet are always moving

She did so good but at the end she let us know she was over it

Look at that sweet face

After the pumpkin patch we went to Nat's house for lunch. We had a great time visiting with her and catching up.

2 month checkup

Anne Bailey had her 2 month checkup yesterday at her pediatrician. She was so patient while waiting for the doctor to come in and yes I did remember to bring a blanket this time. She did so good while Dr. Price was checking her out and even smiled at her a few times. She said that Anne Bailey was very healthy and was impressed at how well she holds her head up. Of course Ruff and I are so proud of her skills. Anne Bailey weighs 12lbs 3oz and is 23.5 inches long. She is in the 84th percentile for weight and 88th percentile for length.

Anne Bailey also had her first round of shots yesterday. As soon as the nurse gave her the first one her face turned blood red and she screamed. I had the pacifier close so as soon as she was done I picked her up and stuffed the pacifier in her mouth. Once the nurse left I gave Anne Bailey her bottle and she was happy as can be. I am so proud of my sweet girl and am so glad we have a couple of months before she has to go through that again.

Ready to get measured

Happy to leave that place

After we left the pediatrician's office we went to have lunch with Daintry, Natty, Nat, and Jill. This was the first time for Anne Bailey to meet Nat and Jill so we were very excited. Unfortunately she wasn't feeling so good after her shots so she wasn't her normal happy self. She still did great though and we had a so much fun visiting with them.

Anne Bailey is 2 months old

I can't believe that Anne Bailey is 2 months old already. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing home this tiny little baby. She has changed so much in the last couple of months and amazes us everyday with what she can do. She is such a sweet and happy baby and loves to smile at her mommy and daddy. I know that she will be laughing out loud very soon. She has also found her voice and talks all the time. We have our best conversations when we are changing her clothes or diaper. She is getting so big and strong and can hold her head up for long periods of time and put weight on her legs. She continues to eat great and is sleeping anywhere from 7 to 8 hours at a time during the night. We are just so proud of our sweet girl and are having so much fun watching her grow.

Happy 2 Month Birthday Anne Bailey!
