Christmas 2011

Christmas morning Anne Bailey woke up to see that Santa had come to visit her! I know she really doesn't quite get the whole idea of Christmas yet but she sure had fun seeing her new toys! We had such a great morning together as a family opening gifts and celebrating the birth of Jesus! I am so thankful for my sweet little family and love these moments together.

The rest of the day we were running crazy with  lots of family to visit. First we went to  Mel Mel's house to exchange gifts. Next we went to Mrs. Edith's house for Christmas lunch and to exchange gifts with the whole Thomas clan. Late Afternoon we went to my uncle's house for appetizers and more exchanging of gifts with my family. It was a very busy day but we had a great time celebrating with family! We are sad that Christmas is over but glad for a little bit of a rest after a very busy week!

Look what Santa left!!!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning we went to the Holland's house for their annual Christmas Eve brunch. We had a great time visiting with Emily and Molly and eating lots of yummy food. Anne Bailey especially loved dancing to the Christmas music. I really think she is either going to be a dancer or a musician. She loves it!

That afternoon we went to the Children's service at church. Anne Bailey did so good but of course had to show out some. She made her own music during the service by banging the candlestick cups together. Also, after every hymn she would yell Yay and start clapping. She was definitely feeling the Christmas spirit. After church we went to Big Mike and DD's house to open gifts and have Christmas dinner. Anne Bailey had so much fun spending time with family and playing with her new toys!

Christmas at Nat's House

Friday we went to Oxford to celebrate Christmas at Nat's house. Anne Bailey was so excited to show everyone how much she had grown since last year! She was on her best behavior and walked around, talked to eveyone, and ate the whole day. She also had so much fun playing with all her new toys, especially her picnic basket from Nat. The adults also had a fun day of Secret Santa and playing Bar Dice. The Thomas family was definately representing because Field, Natty and I all won! Yay! We had such a fun day in Oxford and are already looking forward to next year!

Christmas With The Sheffields

On Thursday, my sister and her family came over to exchange gifts. Kevin had to work that day so he missed all the fun. Anne Bailey, Cora Beth and Joseph always have so much fun when they get together! They were so excited about opening gifts so we had to do that first. Anne Bailey got the sweetest little Stella doll and lots of great books. Cora got a new teacher Barbie and Joseph loved his Star Wars spy watch and toy. Such a fun afternoon with with my sweet sister and niece and nephew!

A Visit with Santa

Tuesday night we went to the mall to visit Santa so Anne Bailey could tell him what she wanted for Christmas. While we waited in line she had lots of fun playing with Daddy in the play area. Anne Bailey liked watching Santa and the other kids but was not too sure about sitting in his lap. There were tears but overall it went pretty well. Anne Bailey has been such a good little girl this year so I am sure she will have lots of presents under the tree from Santa!

Waiting to see Santa

Anne Bailey's First Art Project

Look what I found today in Anne Bailey's bag when I picked her up from Mother's Day Out...the cutest ornament with Anne Bailey's picture! I absolutely love it and can't wait to fill our tree with many sweet little handmade ornaments in the future. We are so thankful for her sweet teachers at Calvary!

15 Month Checkup

Anne Bailey had her 15 month checkup today(a little late). She did so good and of course showed out for all the nurses by smiling so big and scrunching her nose up. She weighs 24lbs 8ozs which is in the 67th percentile for weight. She is also 31 inches long and is in the 55 percentile for length. Dr. Price was very impressed by Anne Bailey's extensive vocabulary and ability to point out certain body parts when asked. Of course Ruff and I think she is a little genius so it makes us happy when her Doctor thinks so too! One thing we discussed today was her not wanting to eat much. Dr. Price assured me this is normal for her age and eventually she will eat when she is hungry. We started a vitamin today just to be sure. Anne Bailey also had to get 3 shots today which did not make her very happy. She cried and then got so mad that there were band aids on her legs. She did not want them anywhere near her and kept taking them off. Silly girl!

Here are a few pictures from snack time today!

Ready for her favorite snack, goldfish! As you can see her baby and monkey join her for every meal!
