Playing With Friends

We had a great time playing with friends over Thanksgiving week. We love that we have lots of friends in town that we don't get to see often. We can't wait to play with them again!!

Thanksgiving 2012

We had a another great Thanksgiving this year! It was extra special because it was our first Thanksgiving as a family of four! Emerson woke up excited and ready for the celebration to begin! Anne Bailey helped Ruff in the kitchen all morning, smoking turkeys and roasting carrots. Anne Bailey kept talking about "eating turkeys." Once the cooking was done, we went to Perry and Judy's house for Thanksgiving lunch. Yes, Anne Bailey did eats some turkey, suprisingly! Next, we went to Mel Mels to visit with my family and have dessert. It was a fun and busy day and we are so thankful for our wonderful families!!

MSU vs Arkansas

On Saturday, we went to Starkville for our last home game of the year! It was the perfect weather to be outside watching a football game. Anne Bailey did great and had so much fun cheering for the bulldogs!! We met up with the Rowland's in the game so the girls could play. They had fun coloring and running around. The best part was that we won!! We had another great Saturday in Starkville!

FUMC Thanksgiving Program

Last night was Anne Bailey's first Thanksgiving program at FUMC Preschool. The two year old classes dressed up as Indians and sang three sweet little songs. It was so precious and Anne Bailey did such a good job! She sang, stomped, and did most of the hand movements that went along with it. We are so proud of her first performance!! We have always thought we might have a little entertainer on our hands and I think that proved it! It was such a fun and sweet night!

These are the only pictures I have right now. I was having camera issues so some are blurry and I got none of Anne Bailey up close. I have borrowed a few from friends and am waiting for some others. I will add them to this post  as soon as I get some more.

Emerson Begins Cereal

Emerson began eating cereal this week and as you can tell by the pictures she is not a fan! I hoped it would get better over the week but it hasn't. She will take a couple of bites, spit all of it out and then start crying for her bottle. We will keep trying and then move onto baby food if she doesn't start liking it soon! Even if she isn't eating much of the cereal it is still so fun and cute to try!!

"What is this stuff?"
"I don't think I like it."

"Okay, I will try another bite."
"Uh, I don't know about this."
"It still tastes bad."
"I think I will stick to eating my hand!"

4 Months Old and Checkup

Our sweet Emerson turned 4 months old last Friday!! I cannot believe how fast it is going by! She really is such as sweet and calm baby. She just sits back and takes everything in. The only time Emerson gets upset is if she is sleepy or hungry. This girl likes to sleep and eat! She is sleeping 12 hours at night from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am and has been since about 13 weeks. She is still taking about 3-4 naps a day but has started staying awake and playing longer. She is still drinking 5 bottles a day and has started eating rice cereal today.

Emerson loves for you to talk and play with her. Her eyes are so big and expressive and she will give you the sweetest smile! She has also started laughing when you tickle her which is the cutest thing ever!! She is working hard on rolling over but hasn't quite figured out how to move her arm out of the way. :) She loves sitting in her bumbo and watching Anne Bailey and the dogs. I know she can't wait to join in all the fun! She has also mastered grabbing or picking up toys and putting them in her mouth. I am pretty sure she has already started teething so she is constantly chewing on a toy or her hands. Her likes are bottles, sleeping, Sophie the giraffe, playing on her play gym, and watching cartoons(especially Baby Einstein). There are not many dislikes right now since she is finally tolerating bath time!

Happy Four Months Old, Emerson!! We love you!

Happy Girl!
"See my tongue"
As you can see she loves to stick out her tongue right now
"I am so silly"
I love those sweet hands, cheeks, and eyes!!

Emerson also had her 4 month checkup last week! She did great considering we were there for 2 hours and I also had Anne Bailey with us!  Emerson weighed 16 lbs 4 oz and was in the 88th percentile for weight. She was 24 and a half inches long and was in the 55th percentile for height.  She was very sweet while Dr. Price was checking her and gave her lots of smiles. Dr. Price was very impressed by all her stats and said she was developing perfectly. She did have to get her shots but only cried for a few seconds. We are so thankful for another healthy and happy baby!! Here is an adorable picture I took at her checkup!
