On Saturday morning we loaded up and went to the lake to meet My Mike and DeDe. Before we left town we had to make a 45 minute detour to track down our mail lady to pick up a special package. :) When we got to the lake we immediately went down to the dock to play and found a special surprise. Monkey had finally returned from his vacation!! Anne Bailey was so excited to see him and gave him lots of hugs and kisses! We had a great weekend and are all so happy that monkey is home!

"Where's Monkey?"
Anne Bailey's beloved monkey disappeared on Tuesday night!! I am pretty sure we made it home with him on Tuesday after preschool and a few errands but could not find him. I have searched this house up and down like 5 times and called every place we went on Tuesday and he is still missing!! Now if you have paid attention to any picture of Anne Bailey on this blog then you know that monkey is like a 5th member of this family. He goes everywhere with her and is probably her best friend (besides Tatum) so you can imagine how she reacted when he was gone!
Anne Bailey first noticed he was gone after her bath and started asking "where's monkey?" Aunt Melba was here with us that night so they started looking for him. Anne Bailey is usually pretty good at remembering where she put him. At first she walked around the house saying "monkey, where are you?" and then when she could not find him it turned into her screaming and wanting me to hold her for an hour while I frantically looked for him. Finally she was exhausted and so was I so I told her "monkey went on vacation". Thankfully, she was so tired that she was okay with that answer and went to bed without any problems. Ruff was out of town so when I told him what happened he immediately got online and had 2 overnighted to us. They were not going to be here until Thursday so I had to keep her happy until then!
The next morning went fine and she went on to preschool with out any problems. When I picked her up and we were going home for her to take a nap she started asking about him and telling me "go get him mommy." I knew we were about to have a problem so I told her that "monkey is on vacation at the beach." She then asked me "monkey fishing?" Ha! The rest of the day and that night she had some meltdowns over monkey but we just kept talking about him being at the beach fishing and that he would be home soon. She did not sleep well that night because she was ready for monkey to be home. Thursday was a complete disaster and she was fussy at school and home. She pretty much refused to sleep or eat. She was missing monkey really bad and so was I!! Unfortunately, monkey did not make it home on Thursday like we had planned. Ruff called to check on him and was told it would be Friday before they arrived!! Are you kidding me?!?
So now here it is Friday afternoon and we have had a rough morning and are still waiting! Monkey, where are you?

2 Months Old
Sweet Emerson turned 2 months old on Sunday! She is growing so fast and is such a happy and healthy baby. She is cooing and smiling all the time and has started to reach for objects. She can also grasp onto objects and hold her head up for long periods of time. She is taking about 6-7 bottles a day every three hours. She is sleeping 7-9 hours at night after her 10:00 feeding! Yay! She has been sleeping in her crib since about 3 weeks old and loves it. She is also taking about 3-4 naps a day and thankfully will sleep anywhere because we are constantly on the go these days. Her favorite activities are sleeping, eating, laying in her play gym, and snuggling. Her dislikes are baths and having her diaper or clothes changed.

MSU vs Auburn
On Saturday, Ruff, Anne Bailey an I we went to Starkville for the State game! Poor Emerson had to stay home with a babysitter. It was an 11:00 game and it was raining so we did not tailgate. We had been talking about it all week so Anne Bailey was so excited to go see a football game. She had so much fun cheering on the Dawgs, eating popcorn, and waving bye bye to the Auburn fans when they left the game early. Yes, that means we won!!! We are so excited that we won our SEC opener against Auburn 28-10!! After the game we met up with the Dabb's at their tailgate. We had such a fun day and can't wait for the next game!

| She was very worried about all the popcorn she dropped on the ground. She would pick it up and say "dirty" and give it to Ruff. |

First Day of of 2 Year Old Preschool
Anne Bailey started 2 year old preschool this week! I still cannot believe that I have a preschooler!! Emerson and I are going to miss her so much while she is gone but are so excited about all the fun she is going to have. This year she is going to two different preschools. On Monday and Wednesday from 8:30 to 11:30 she is going to First Presbyterian Preschool (our church). Her teachers are Ms. Paige Lancaster and Ms. Kristin Cockrell. Then on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 to 2:00 she will be attending First United Methodist Preschool. Her teachers there are Ms. Ramey Gibens and Ms. Melissa Hunt. Anne Bailey has had a great first two days at both schools. She went right in her rooms and started playing without ever looking back at me. We are looking forward to a great year!

Go Dawgs!
We are so excited that football season is here! We watched the first State game at My Mike and DeDe's house Saturday night. Anne Bailey had fun running around singing "Who Let The Dawgs Out" and Emerson slept most of the time. We had a great night celebrating our first win of the season with family. We can't wait to celebrate the rest of the wins this year in Starkville !!
Here a few pictures at home before the game. Enjoy!
