Emerson's Baptism

Emerson was baptized Sunday morning at our church. It was such a special day with our family and friends and we are so proud of our sweet girl! Emerson wore the same christening gown that Anne Bailey, Ruff and many others wore going all the way back to Daintry's grandfather. It is such a special tradition and I am so glad she will share this with them. Emerson did great during the service and only cried a couple of times. During the baptism she gave everyone a little scare when she tried to throw herself out of Tom's arms. Thankfully he was able to hold on to her and it gave everyone a little laugh. Anne Bailey went up with us during the baptism and also did great! She was a little worried about Emerson getting water on her head.

We had a lunch honoring Emerson at our house following the service. It was so wonderful to celebrate this special day with all of our family and friends. We are so thankful to have so many wonderful people that love our girls.  It was such a great day with many wonderful memories!!

26 Months Old

Anne Bailey turned 26 months old on Thursday!! She is such a little girl now and it is so sweet to watch. She seriously talks ALL the time! It is very hard to get a word in with her and if you do not acknowlegde her right away she will continue talking until you do. She also loves to be the center of attention! She is so smart and is constantly amazing us with what she knows. The other day on her daily progress report her teacher commented that she is a very bright child and even though she is the youngest in the class she has no trouble keeping up with the older kids. Of course we know this but it makes us so happy and proud to hear it from others!! It is so fun to hear her tell us about her day at school, what she did and who she played with.

Anne Bailey has also become VERY opiniated and bossy!! She wants to do what she wants to do when she wants to do it! She does not like to hear the word no and can throw a temper tantrum in a second! I am chalking this up to the fact that she is TWO and hoping that it will get better soon! I mean very soon!! Anne Bailey loves to play dollhouse and kitchen. She also loves to color, paint, and sing. She loves her gymnastics class and her best friend Tatum. She is such a big helper with her little sister and loves to hug and kiss on her, sometimes a little rough but still very sweet. She is also a daddy's girl which makes me sad but also warms my heart when I see how sweet they are with each other.  We are having so much fun watching her grow and can't wait to see what she is going to do next!! We love you, Anne Bailey!

Elmo Comes To Town

On Wednesday morning Ruff, Anne Bailey and I went to Elmo And Friends. Before the show we had  a  meet and greet with Elmo and Grover. Anne Bailey liked looking and waving at them from afar but did not want to get to close. She refused to sit in their lap so we all had to take a picture with them. Ha! We also had front row seats at the show!! Anne Bailey had so much fun bouncing on Ruff's lap, singing, waving her Elmo wand, and dancing during the show. When the music would stop she would tell Ruff to "turn the music on daddy." She did not take her eyes of the show the entire time! Such a fun morning with our sweet girl!

Waiting in line to meet Elmo (she can't take her eyes off of him)
Still staring him down
Not too sure about this

A Day In The Life of Emerson

Emerson and I are having so much fun being home with each other during the day. She is so good that I can pretty much do whatever with her.  Everyday we are on about a three hour schedule of eat, play and sleep.  We also spend a lot of time in the car taking Anne Bailey to and from school. Emerson is great at helping mommy run errands while her sister is at school. We also make sure to get in lots of play time together at home. She is such as sweet baby and I cherish these moments alone with her!

She is so happy when she wakes up every morning
Anne Bailey usually wants a little snuggle time before she is off to preschool
lots of time spent in the car

naps in the swing
play dates with friends (Ross and Rainer)

lots of hugs from her big sister when she gets home
playtime in the gym (she loves talking to her new friends)
Bath time which she still hates
All clean and being sweet before bed
Night night Emerson
