32 week checkup and family baby shower

Last week I had my 32 week ultrasound and checkup. Anne Bailey appears to be doing well and is growing stronger every day. They estimate that she weighs about 4 lbs 5 oz. This scares me a little because we still have 7 weeks to go and I know at the end they gain a lot. I guess she is already taking after her mother because I am not slacking on the weight gain either.

I was so excited about this ultrasound because i felt like it had been forever since I have seen her. She was moving all around and was practicing sucking with her mouth. It was so cute! Anne Bailey was cooperating so well during the ultrasound so the tech was nice enough to get us a few more 4D pics. If there was ever any doubt whose facial features she had then these pics will confirm. Ruff and I think she is adorable and cannot wait to meet her!

On Sunday Natty and Toni hosted a family baby shower for me. Everything was so beautiful and I had such a great time visiting with everyone. Thank you so much for everything y'all did. Anne Bailey will be so lucky to have you two in her life.

First Baby Shower

Last weekend my best friends from high school threw me a baby shower. It meant so much to me since many of them had to travel from far away to come. The shower was beautiful and I really enjoyed getting to spend time with everyone. Thank you again Emily, Katie, Leslie, Leigh Anne, Molly, and Natalie. Y'all are great friends and Anne Bailey will be so lucky to have y'all in her life.

Me and the hostesses minus Emily. We missed you Emily!

The cake was so cute and delicious!

Natalie suprised me and flew in from San Francisco for the weekend. That was so sweet!

4D ultrasound and 28 week checkup

Yesterday we had our 4D ultrasound! We were so excited to see Anne Bailey for the first time and see whose features she had. Like all the other ultrasounds, Anne Bailey was not very cooperative. She was rolled up in a little ball and moves very fast so it was hard to get many pictures of her face. We did get a few good shots.

We think she is beautiful!!! Ruff and I both agree that she has my nose and his lips. We think she will be the perfect mix of both of us. It was so fun to watch her moving on the screen and making faces at us. She is definitely my child because she did not like us waking her up and seemed to be getting an attitude with us. We also got to see her yawn which was so sweet.

Here are some of our favorite pics:

I also had my 28 week checkup yesterday. Anne Bailey is doing well and everything seems to be on track. Only 11 more weeks to go. We are so excited!!!

Anne Bailey's First Home

Ruff and I moved back to our hometown of Tupelo about one month ago. We are so excited to be back so Anne Bailey will grow up in the same town as her grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. Also, since we are first time parents we will feel better having all this help just a few minutes away.

We absolutely love our new house and neighborhood and think it will be such a great place for Anne Bailey to grow up. I feel like we will never be completely finished decorating but I am really trying to before she gets here. Here are a few pictures of our progress so far.

I hope you like our house as much as we do. We also have two guest bedrooms so feel free to come and stay anytime.

23 Week Checkup and Movement

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my 23 week checkup. Anne Bailey seems to be doing well and is growing stronger everyday. At least we think she is growing because my belly sure is. We also discussed my diet and my LOVE of anything sweet right now. Dr. Kellum is so nice because he politely said "lets try and maintain a healthy well balanced diet." I then told him that healthy food is not what I want right now.

Anne Bailey has also been moving alot lately. I started feeling her a little around week 18 but wasn't sure if it was her. This past week she has really been moving alot especially at night and in the morning. Ruff got to feel her kick for the first time Tuesday night and then again on Wednesday morning. Feeling her move definitely makes it more real that we are having a baby. We are just so excited and have no idea how we are going to make it until August to meet her.

It's A Girl!!

Ruff and I went for our 19 week checkup and ultrasound last week. The tech said that the baby looked healthy and weighed about 9 ounces. We were both expecting to hear that we were having a boy because everyone thought it was a boy and Ruff had a dream it was a boy. It was so funny during the ultrasound because I could tell that Ruff was staring very intently at the screen trying to confirm that his dream was true. Then, to our surprise, the tech said "It's a Girl." We are so excited to be having a baby girl and can not wait to see her sweet face in August!

Here are a few ultrasound pics:

Because we were so sure we were having a boy, we did not have a girl's name picked out. We knew we wanted it to include Ann because that was my mother's name. After much consideration and practicing, we have decided to name her Anne Bailey. We think it will be such a cute little girl's name.
