Play Dates

Anne Bailey has so many sweet little friends. We love to have them and their mommies over for play dates. Anne Bailey is such a great little hostess and loves to entertain them and share all of toys(except her train, her obsession right now). On Saturday we had Catherine and Camp, Beth and Barrett and Katie and John Andrew over. The boys had fun playing in the floor while Anne Bailey ran circles around them pushing her train. On Wednesday we hosted a lunch play date at our house with Ashley Owens and Sara Reid and Loren White and Asa. It was Sara Reid's 1st birthday so we had cupcakes and cookies. They had so much fun eating and making a huge mess! We love play dates with sweet friends!

I had to include this cute picture. We bought this at Lowes to carry toys in but AB prefers to ride in it.

14 months old

Anne Bailey is 14 months old today!!! She looks like such a little kid now instead of a baby! This makes me really sad! She is growing up so fast and is learning something new everyday. She will take a few steps at a time by herself but prefers to walk holding on to your hand. She runs laps around the den pushing her push toys. She also talks all the time and says lots of words. Some of her new words are thank you, uh oh, nose, and shoe! She understands a lot of what we say now and will do certain things we tell her. She also understands no and will shake her head no when we say it although she doesn't always listen. She has also started to bite me, her crib or toys when she gets mad. We are working really hard to stop this before it happens at school!

She is loving her milk but is becoming quite a little picky eater. Her food rotation right now is carrots, nutrigrain bar, waffles, pancakes, grilled cheese, spaghetti's o's, mac and cheese, yogurt, pizza, cookies, and crackers. I know these are not the healthiest options but I just want her to eat. If I try and feed her something she does not want she will turn her head and point to something else. Also if all the food is gone and she wants more she will do sign language for more.

Her favorite things to do right now are push her train around the den, ride in her cozy coupe, swinging, play with her baby dolls, reading books, bathtime, getting her teeth brushed, dancing and her monkey. Her favorite songs right now are the Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus, and the ABC's. She will clap, dance, and sometimes try to sing along. Her favorite books are all about animals and she can point out dogs, ducks, and frogs. She also knows where her nose, eyes, and belly button are and will point at them when asked. She is such a silly little girl and loves to show off her tricks. We are having so much fun with her!.

Here a few pictures we took a few weeks ago! Enjoy!

She had more fun waving it in the air than she did eating it.

I don't know about this

She decided she wanted nothing to do with it and threw it on the ground

Football Weekend in Starkville

Anne Bailey went to her first State game last weekend! We went early on Friday so we could set up our tent on Bell Island. I love hearing the Chapel bell ring and watching everyone race to get the best spots. I am so glad Anne Bailey was there to experience it. Once we got our tent set up we walked around all our favorite spots on campus and then went to Little Dooey for a great dinner!

Saturday morning we went to The Starkville Cafe for some yummy pancakes. After a quick morning nap we headed to our tailgate to meet the Rowlands. Anne Bailey had such a great day playing with Kennedy and Mary Morgan. She also loved strolling through The Junction and watching everyone. Considering she had no afternoon nap she did really well! She also loved going to the game!! She has so much fun pointing to the field and jumbotron and clapping when we did something good. Of course everyone thought she was the cutest thing and was so well-behaved. I had the best weekend with my family and can't wait for many more weekends in Starkville! I hope Anne Bailey will love it as much as we do!

Anne Bailey loved these bulldog statues. She would point and smile as soon as she saw them. She really loved to sit on them!

First Steps!!

Anne Bailey took her first steps today all by herself!!! She was standing up and I held out my arms and said walk to me and SHE DID!! She took about 3 or 4 steps towards me. She was so proud of herself that she got the biggest smile on her face and started clapping. Of course I started tearing up and had to call Ruff immediately and tell him the exciting news. We are just so proud of her and love experiencing all these special moments with her!

We have been practicing all day. It is very fast so these are the only two pictures I have of her.

Yay! I'm walking!

Such a big girl!

Playing with Friends

Anne Bailey has been a busy little girl lately. She has been having lots of fun playdates with her friends. On Friday she had Tatum Dabbs and David Hauser over for a lunch date. They had so much fun talking and playing with all of Anne Bailey's toys! Of course, Laura, Jordan, and I had a great time talking too.

On Saturday we had another fun playdate when we had some friends over to watch football. We were so excited to get to visit with the Carrs and for Jack and Anne Bailey to play. They are so sweet with each other and have lots of fun. We love fun weekends with great friends!!!

AB, David, and Tatum

This was pretty much the theme of the day. They all wanted to play with whatever toy the other one had.

Wouldn't these two make the cutest couple one day in the very far future?

Doggles?!?

It was such a beautiful day on Sunday so we headed to the Buffalo Park to visit with all the animals. We have been once before but this was the first time Anne Bailey was old enough to know what was going on. She loved it!!! She smiled, laughed, and pointed at all animals. The cutest part is when she points at them and tries to name them. Pretty much every animal is a dog right now except for goats. According to Anne Bailey, goats are Doggles! We have no idea where she got this from. She started calling them that a couple of weeks ago at Goat Island in Pickwick. It sounds so cute when she says it that now the whole family calls them doggles.

Ready to see some animals
