Anne Bailey's First Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday we went to Asa's house to celebrate his 2nd birthday with an Easter Egg Hunt. This was Anne Bailey's first time to really hunt Easter eggs so it took her a few minutes to figure it out but then she was hooked! She loved picking up the eggs and putting them in her basket. She especially loved opening them up and finding the surprise inside.

Here are a few pics from the party!

20 Months Old and Dying Easter Eggs

Anne Bailey turned 20 months old yesterday! I cannot believe that in four short months our baby is going to be 2!!! She is so busy but so fun! She is constantly on the move and into everything. She talks all day long and knows way more words than I can count. She even says several sentences such as "Where are you?" when she is looking for something or someone and "I hold you mommy" when she wants me to pick her up. How cute is that?? She is still so sweet and gives lots of hug and kisses. She also has very good manners and says please and thank you at the appropriate times. She has started eating a little better and her favorite foods right now are cheese, banana, applesauce, yogurt squishers, Gerber grabbers, pizza, crackers, pop tarts, and fruit snacks. She is still sleeping 12 hours a night and is taking one 3 hour nap in the afternoon. Her favorite activities are singing, dancing, talking, reading, sliding, swinging and playing outside.

To celebrate this day we had some friends over to dye Easter eggs. We invited Laura and Tatum and also Catherine and her boys, Connor and Camp. Anne Bailey and Tatum had a blast dropping the eggs in the dye and decorating them with stickers once they were dry. Their favorite thing to do was bang the eggs together so they did crack a few. Connor was a big help getting the eggs out of the dye and also decorating them. The eggs turned out great and I think everyone had fun!

Anne Bailey Visits The Easter Bunny

On Sunday we went to the mall to visit the Easter Bunny or "Money" as Anne Bailey calls him. She was so excited to see him and waved and talked to him the whole time while we were in line. Once it was her turn to sit in his lap she completely froze! She would not talk, smile or look at him! She just stared out at us. It was kind of funny but at least she didn't cry!

"Why am I sitting in Money's lap?"

This is the only attempt at a smile

Memphis Zoo

On Saturday we spent the day at the zoo in Memphis. Anne Bailey loves animals and knows all the sounds they make so we knew that she would love it! We were right! Every animal she saw she would make the sweetest "ahh" sound of complete excitement. She talked to all the animals, waved, made animal sounds, laughed at the silly monkeys, and told all the sleeping animals night night. Her favorites of the day were the lions, monkeys and polar bear. After a fun day we ate a late lunch at Huey's and then headed home. I love these days with my family!

We Love Spring!

I absolutely love this time of year! The weather has been so nice so we have been taking full advantage of it. Anne Bailey loves to be outside and will point out the window and say "outside play." We have also been hanging out with friends and wearing lots of cute spring outfits. Such a fun time!

St. Croix Vacation-Part 2

On Wednesday we wanted to relax and play in the pool all day. Anne Bailey loved floating on the rafts and splashing and kicking in the pool. Ruff and I went out Wednesday night to Rowdy Joe's for a little date night while Anne Bailey stayed back at the villa with everyone else. On Thursday we went back to the beach at Cane Bay to play and watch daddy build a turtle in the sand. Anne Bailey promptly destroyed it about 2 minutes later!  Anne Bailey was much more comfortable this day at the beach and even walked in the sand for a little. Thursday night we had some yummy pizza at Off The Wall. On Friday we spent our last full day soaking up the sun and playing in the pool. That afternoon we went with DD back to Christenstead for some shopping and a few drinks at Rum Runners, virgin daiquiris for me of course. On Saturday we were so sad to leave so we had to get in one last adventure that morning. All week we had heard about the beer drinking pigs in the rain forest so we went to check them out. Anne Bailey loved them and kept waving and saying "hey pig". Next we headed to the airport for what we thought would be an uneventful flight home. Well I guess we were wrong!

About 20 minutes into our flight we were informed that our landing gear was stuck (in the down position thankfully) and we would have to make an emergency landing in Puerto Rico. After flying in circles for about 30 minutes to waste fuel we finally landed safely surrounded by emergency vehicles and people in hazmat uniforms. Then we were informed it would be about 7 hours before another plane could come and get us. Anne Bailey did great and loved running around the airport all night but it made for a very tired pregnant mommy. Finally we left Puerto Rico at midnight and landed in Atlanta at 4 am. After a few hours of sleep at a hotel we were finally headed home.

We had such a great trip with family and loved making all these memories!
