Fun with Toys

Anne Bailey loves to play with all of her toys. She has tons already but of course I can't help but buy her more. On Wednesday DD, Anne Bailey and I went to the New To You Consignment Sale and stocked up on lots of fun toys and some cute outfits. Here are some pics of Anne Bailey enjoying her new toys.

Anne Bailey's Big Girl Car Seat

Anne Bailey got a new convertible car seat this week. Her Chicco car seat only goes up to 22 lbs. and was getting very snug so we decided to go ahead and upgrade to a Britax. We love it! I think she was a little confused at first with the new seat and wondering where all of her hanging toys went. Now she is really liking sitting up higher and being able to look out the window. Also it is very roomy and comfortable and will be great for all our upcoming trips.

Standing Up

Anne Bailey has been standing up for a long time with our help but she can now stand up all by herself. She is not pulling up yet but when she does I know we will be in trouble. Here is a pic of her showing off her new trick.

Spring Break Part 2

We ended spring break with another great weekend. On Saturday we did a little shopping, ate lunch at the Blue Canoe, and spent the afternoon hanging out with Katie, Drew and their little boy, John Andrew. On Sunday morning we went to church to see Tatum get baptized and then spent some more time enjoying this great springtime weather.

Enjoying the first day of Spring

Spring Break Part 1

Anne Bailey and I have had a very busy spring break so far. Okay, so technically we don't have a spring break so I just decided to make it this week since everyone else was on break and we had lots of friends in town this week. We started out the week with a family day on Saturday. Saturday is probably my favorite day because the 3 of us get to spend the whole day together. This Saturday we had lunch at Romie's Barbecue, played at Fairpark, and worked in the backyard. Here are some cute pics from Saturday.

Monday night MH spent the night with us. Anne Bailey had so much fun playing with her. After Anne Bailey went to sleep we had a great dinner and did lots of catching up.


On Tuesday we had some friends over for a play date. Anne Bailey, Tatum, and David were so cute together. AB and Tatum had so much fun chewing on each other's toys, pulling hair, and talking to each other. David was so sweet and just watched them play the whole time. Laura, Jordan, and I also had fun comparing baby stories.

On Thursday morning we went for a stroll with Laura and Tatum and had another quick visit with Jordan and David. That afternoon we met my sister, Laura and her kids, Cora and Joseph at Ballard Park for a play date. It was so crowded at the park but they had fun swinging and looking at the ducks. Ash Wednesday

Anne Bailey attended her first Ash Wednesday service at church tonight. Apparently she was very moved by the service because she talked the ENTIRE time. She was also grabbing everything in sight and tried to take the Hymnal away from DD so she could eat it. Everyone was laughing and watching her the entire service. Anybody who didn't know Anne Bailey before the service certainly does now. Here is a cute picture of her showing off her mark she got at church and her new outfit. Thanks Mary!

7 Months Old

Anne Bailey turned 7 months old today! She is still the best baby and we are enjoying every moment with her. Here are a few fun facts about Anne Bailey at 7 months. She is now sitting up and playing for very extended periods of time and can go from sitting to her belly. She wants to crawl so bad but is still just rolling everywhere. She is such a little busy body and is constantly moving. She is still talking all the time but so far no words. She no longer has a pacifier but does suck her thumb when she is hungry or sleepy. She tolerates her cereal, fruits, and veggies but really only cares about her bottle. She is also attempting to drink water out of a sippy cup but will not let me help her. She wants to do it all by herself so most of the water ends up on her shirt instead of in her mouth. Her favorite activities are bouncing, sitting in the buggy at Kroger, anything outside, and of course watching Baby Einstein.

Play Date with Will

Today Laurie and Will came over for a play date. Laurie was my best friend when I was a kid so it is so crazy that we both have babies now. Will is 6 and a half weeks old and is the cutest little thing. He was such a good baby and didn't cry one time. Anne Bailey loved looking at him and I think she was a little jealous of his paci. Laurie and I also had fun catching up. Hopefully there will be many more play dates to come.
