Busy Weekend

We have been so busy this weekend but have had so much fun. Anne Bailey stayed with DD and Big Mike Friday and Saturday while Ruff and I went to Nashville. We finally sold our house in Franklin so we had our closing Friday afternoon. It was so great to be back in Nashville and go to some of our favorite shops and restaurants. While we were there we went to Catherine and Cahill's house and met their newest addition, Campbell. He is so cute and I can't wait for him and Anne Bailey to be friends. We also had a wonderful dinner with Tom and Claire Friday night at Sunset Grill. We definitely miss Nashville and all our friends so we will have to go back often and visit.

Saturday night we celebrated DD's birthday at our house. We listened to Jack Cristal's last game and then had a wonderful dinner. We always have a great time together. Then on Sunday we attended Will's baptism at First Presbyterian. He is PK and Mary Brook's son. After church we all went to Judy and Perry's for a great lunch. We had so much fun letting AB and Will roll around in the floor together. I love that they are so close in age. They are definitely going to have fun growing up together.

6 month checkup

Anne Bailey had her 6 month checkup today at the pediatrician's office. It was originally scheduled for two weeks ago but had to be resheduled due to snow. Anne Bailey was so patient waiting on the doctor to come in. She had so much fun sitting in the exam room playing and reading books. Dr. Price said she was in perfect health and thought she was the cutest thing with all her rolls. She weighs 19 pounds and 11 ounces and is in the 95th percentile. She is 26.25 inches long and is in the 57th percentile. I really don't think that the length is right because I know she has grown more than .75 inches in two months. Either they measured her wrong or she is going to be on the shorter side like her mom and dad. She also had to get a round of shots today. Poor baby screamed for 10 minutes after the shots. It was just the saddest thing because usually she only cries for a few seconds. Thankfully there are no more shots until her birthday so she gets a 6 month break. Yay!

Happy Valentine's Day

Today is Anne Bailey's first Valentine's Day. Poor thing is still sick and has her second tooth coming in but we tried to make the best out of it. Doesn't she look so cute in her Valentine's outfit!

We baked and decorated Valentine cookies for Daddy, Big Mike and DD, and Mel Mel. Anne Bailey sat in her high chair the whole time watching and chewing on a wooden spoon. This is the same wooden spoon that Ruff chewed on when he was a baby at Nat's house. Nat gave it to us for our anniversary last year!

Anne Bailey also got to open some Valentine's presents. She got lots of new books and several cute spring outfits. They are so cute and I cannot wait to see her in them. Happy Valentine's Day to our baby girl!

Fruits and First Cold

We have finally tried every fruit that I can find and surprise, surprise she loves them all. I think that the peaches and pears are definitely her favorites. Here is a cute pic of her eating peaches.

Anne Bailey also had her first cold this week. We are guessing she probably caught it the church nursery. You wouldn't even know she was sick if she didn't have a cough and runny nose. She is still being so sweet and happy. It just breaks our hearts every time she coughs so we hope she gets better soon.

Friends, Football, and Babies

Lately we have been having so much fun catching up with friends. A couple weekends ago The Newmans, Rowlands, and Luke came in town and we went to Oxford with the Ethridge's for Tommy's 30th birthday. It was so nice to get a night out and enjoy a wonderful dinner with great company. Mel Mel came over and stayed with Anne Bailey while we were gone.



Last weekend I hosted a baby shower at my house for one of my best friends, Leigh Anne. Her and Matt are expecting a sweet baby girl in March. Leslie, another one of my best friends flew in from Colorado and surprised her. We had so much fun hanging out all weekend and talking about old times. Anne Bailey cannot wait to meet Lilly next month! I know they are going to have so much fun together.

On Sunday we went to church and Anne Bailey went to the nursery for the first time. I was so nervous and rushed to get her right when church ended. Of course I had no reason to worry because she had been a perfect angel the whole time.



We ended our great weekend with a Superbowl party at the Harris' house. We made it to halftime and then it was time to go home so Anne Bailey could eat and go to bed. I think she really enjoyed her first Superbowl.

Happy 6 Month Birthday

Anne Bailey is 6 months old today! Where does the time go? It is going by so fast so we are just trying to cherish every single moment with her. She is just the sweetest and happiest baby ever. Anytime she smiles, laughs, coos, sleeps, rolls over, etc. it just melts our hearts. I don't know how it is possible but we fall in love with her more and more each day.She is absolutely perfect and we are so blessed to be her parents.

Here are a few updates about Anne Bailey at 6 months old. She is eating solids now and absolutely loves them! She is sitting up really well and loves to stand up with our help. She can hold on to toys so much longer now and can pick them up and set them back on the floor. She does not stay still and wants to roll everywhere or wiggle when you hold her. Her favorite activities are eating, watching Baby Einstein, jumping in her jumper, playing with her feet and watching Cabo and Greta play.
