Family Vacation-Part 2

On Tuesday morning, we headed to Savannah for the second part of our vacation. I have always wanted to visit there so I was so excited! I was not disappointed!! It is a beautiful old city with so much history and charm. We stayed at a hotel right on the river so we were able to walk everywhere. On Tuesday, we walked around River Street, had a great lunch at Vics on the river, checked out City Market and took a carriage ride around the city. Tuesday night, we had dinner at the Lady and Sons, Paula Deen's restaurant. It was so good!!! Anne Bailey loved trying some hoecakes, mac and cheese, and banana pudding. I was really hoping Paula would be there and see AB and have to come and talk to us but no such luck. We had so much fun!

On Wednesday we went to Forsyth Park and then headed to Tybee Island for the day. While there we took a tour of the Tybee lighthouse. Ruff carried Anne Bailey up 178 very steep winding stairs in 100 degree weather. Anyone who has held her knows that is not an easy thing to do. By the time we got to the top we were so tired and freaked out about being up there with a baby we just wanted to go back down. Next we had lunch at Stingrays and then went to the beach. On our way back to Savannah that afternoon we went to Uncle Bubba's restaurant to cool off and eat some yummy oysters. On Wednesday night we had dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Yes, we are those people that took our baby in a fine dining restaurant!!! When we walked in I think everyone rolled their eyes thinking oh no but Anne Bailey did so great! By the end of the night couples were coming up to us telling us how cute and well behaved she was. One lady even begged to take her home with her. So thankful for these times and making great memories. I can't wait for our next family adventure!

Hanging out on River Street

AB spent most of her time in the restaurants reading the menu or her books to everyone. Everyone thought it was so cute!
