It's a GIRL!!!

After 2 ultrasounds in two days we are are so excited to announce that we are having another baby girl! Ruff and I are so happy and cannot wait to meet her in July!

Anne Bailey, Ruff, and I went to my ultrasound appointment on Wednesday to find out the sex but she had a different idea. She kept her little legs crossed the whole time so we could not get a good look. Anne Bailey was so cute and kept pointing at the screen and saying "baby." We left a little disappointed that we didn't know the sex but happy because most importantly our baby was healthy. Of course I could not stand the suspense of waiting a month for my next appointment so I scheduled a second ultrasound for the next day at Baby's Kicking. She was much more cooperative that day and we were able to confirm that we are having a girl. We are so excited that we are going to have two sweet baby girls! I know they are going to be best friends and we are going to have so much fun!

Fun With Lilly Cate

 Anne Bailey and I went to Starkville today to spend the day with our friends Leigh Anne and Lilly Cate. They were in Tuscaloosa visiting her sister so they drove over to meet us. It was such a beautiful day so we walked around all the shops downtown and did a little shopping. Next we had a yummy lunch at Restaurant Tyler. The girls started getting a little tired of being confined to strollers and high chairs so we drove to campus and hung out on Bell Island for a while and let them get some energy out. We had such a fun day with friends and can't wait to see them again next month!

Anne Bailey's New Recliner

Furniture Market has been in town all week so on Wednesday night we had a few of Ruff's coworkers and clients over for dinner and drinks. Anne Bailey was so sweet and did such a great job entertaining everyone so she got a present the next day. On Thursday, Mr. Chad (Ruff's coworker) bought Anne Bailey her very own Disney Princess Recliner. She absolutely loves it!!! She climbs up in it and starts pushing back on it for you to recline it (she is still a little to small to recline it by herself). She loves to sit in it and watch Sprout, read books, drink milk and eat snacks. Thanks Mr. Chad for Anne Bailey's new favorite chair!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I had such a fun day with the best little Valentine ever! We started out the day with a yummy breakfast and then exchanged some cards and gifts. Anne Bailey had so much fun carrying her cards around and reading them over and over. She also loved her new book and baby stroller. We also baked some Valentine goodies and we can't wait to deliver them this afternoon.

18 Months Old!!

I really cannot believe Anne Bailey is a year and a half old today! Time sure does fly when you are having fun! She is still just the sweetest and funniest little girl! She is constantly entertaining us and making us laugh. She loves to give hugs and kisses and has started saying "love you" when you say "I  love you" to her. She has definitely started trying to assert herself these days! She is not shy about letting you know what she does and does not want to do. She is already pretty bossy so I do feel sorry for her little brother or sister. She is doing better about stopping something when we tell her no but we still have a long way to go!

Anne Bailey is still very busy and runs all over the place. She is so curious about everything and loves to learn new things. She uses over 100 words on a regular basis and will repeat anything you say. She is also putting words together and has said a couple sentences. Her favorite word right now is "momma". She says it over and over all day!! I really don't mind it because it just proves that I am her favorite person :). She is so smart and is constantly pointing at things and naming them. She knows tons of animals and what sounds they make as well as knowing all of her body parts. She is also learning peoples names and will say their names when she sees them in person or a picture of them. The cutest thing is that she has now changed Big Mike's name to "my Mike." How sweet is that?

Anne Bailey  is still a very picky eater so we have a limited list of food she likes. Her favorites right now are yogurt, eggs, applesauce, Gerber grabbers, puffs, cereal, and any kind of cracker. She really dislikes any meat, fruit, or vegetable. She will pretty much tell you what she wants to eat each meal. She has been working on eating with a spoon but so far most of the food ends up back on the plate. She loves her sippy cup and has started drinking out of a straw. Her favorite drinks are milk, water, and juice.Her favorite activities right now are dancing, sliding, swinging, reading, playing with Ca Ca(Cabo) and Greta, taking care of her babies and feeding the ducks at the park.
