6 Month Checkup

Emerson had her 6 month checkup yesterday! She did great as usual and is developing perfectly. She weighs a healthy 19lbs and 4oz and is 26.75 inches long. She is in the 91st percentile for weight and 76th percentile for height. If she continues at the rate she may be taller than her sister! Poor Emerson did have to get some shots and was not very happy about it. She cried for about 10 minutes!! Thankfully, we have no more shots for 6 months! We are so proud and thankful for our healthy baby girl!!

Sister Fun in the Bath

We decided to try out the girls taking a bath together this week. They loved it!! Anne Bailey was so excited that Emerson was taking a bath in her bathtub. She was so sweet playing with Emerson and showing her all of her toys. Emerson loved it too and couldn't get enough of the crazy amount of bath toys Anne Bailey has!

Emerson fell asleep in Ruff's arms the other day. It was too sweet so I had to snap a picture! 



Happy 6 Months To Emerson!!

Our sweet little Emerson turned 6 months old yesterday!! I cannot believe that in 6 short months she will be one! Where is the time going?!? We are still  having so much fun with her and love watching all the new things she is learning. She is changing so fast and showing us more of her personality every day. She is still such a sweet and happy baby. She loves to smile and show off her two bottom teeth. They are so adorable!! She also loves to laugh at her sister and most recently the dogs. It is so sweet to watch how much she already adores Anne Bailey. She could just watch her big sister play all day long. It brings tears to my eyes to see how sweet they are together! 

Emerson is still on a 3 hour schedule and is taking about 5 bottles a day. She eats baby food two times a day but only the stage 2 foods. She refuses to eat any of the stage 1 foods! Ha! She also takes about three 1 hour naps a day. She has started waking up a little earlier lately but is still sleeping about 10 to 11 hours at night. She is sitting up for extended periods of time, rolling all over the place, grabbing toys and talking, She has not said any words yet even though I have been working very hard on getting her to say mama. Her favorite activities right now are jumping in the Baby Einstein jumper, sitting on the floor and playing,  being tickled. and being held. Her dislike right now is laying down. She is no longer happy laying on the floor playing with her play gym or laying in her bouncy seat or swing. She wants to be sitting up where she can see and be in the action.

Holiday Play Dates

We had lots of fun play dates with friends and family over the holidays. Anne Bailey has some of the sweetest little friends and we love getting together with them. I think the mommies enjoy getting together even more!!

More Christmas Fun

The day after Christmas we got together with my sister, niece and nephew to exchange gifts and play. The kids had so much fun opening presents and playing with all of Anne Bailey's presents from Santa.

Christmas Day 2012

After opening gifts Christmas morning, we had a busy day of visiting family, eating, and opening gifts. First we went to Easy's house for brunch and presents with the Thomas family. Next we went to Mel Mel's to open gifts and then to the Cobb Family Christmas at Uncle Jimmy's house for a late lunch and more gifts. The girls were on their best behavior considering they had no naps and it was pouring down rain all day. We had a great Christmas day with family!!
