Happy 1st birthday to our sweet baby girl, Emerson. I cannot believe a whole year has passed since you came into the world. You have brought so much joy to our lives and we are so thankful for you!
Emerson has changed so much in the last month. She is growing so fast and continues to amaze us with everything she knows. We can tell that she is smart because she just knows how things work and if she doesn't she will figure it out. She is also becoming very independent and wants to do thing on her own. She thinks she is as big as her sister and wants to do everything Anne Bailey does.
She is crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything. She can walk a long distance holding on to one hand. She can also stand up by herself for long periods of time and has taken one or two steps by herself before getting nervous and sitting down. She is into everything!!! We have to constantly watch her because she will be in a cabinet, closet, or in another room in two seconds. She already loves sneaking into her sister's room and playing with her stuff. Her favorite toys are Noah's Ark, pink stroller, Anne Bailey's kitchen, and musical instrument. Her favorite activities are swinging, playing with toys, and walking. Her dislikes are bath time and car rides.
Emerson is sleeping about 11 hours a night and taking two 2 hour naps a day. She has dropped all bottles and is drinking out of sippy cups only. We are finishing up the last of the formula and then she will be drinking milk, water, and juice only. She is still eating great and will eat anything in sight. If she sees food she will pitch a fit until she gets it. Her favorite foods are watermelon, peas, cheese que, mac and cheese, and yogurt melts. She also has 8 teeth right now. She says mama , dada, bye bye, and look.
She is still just the sweetest little baby and loves to laugh and smile. She lights up anytime we walk in the room and is so cute! She loves her sister and daddy so much but still wants her mommy most of the time. I am enjoying it while it last. We have had such a great first year with our baby girl and look forward to watching her grow!!
