Last Day or School

I have no pics from the last day of school! Unfortunately, both girls were sick with strep throat so they had to miss all the last day of school festivities.

The girls both had a great year and we are going to miss their teachers so much. We are so thankful for Ms Paula and Ms Mary Lin teaching our chatty, energetic, and smart Anne Bailey. We are also so thankful for Ms Sherri and Ms Kelli for loving on Emerson in Mother's Day Out! We love our Preschool!!

Mother's Day Tea

Anne Bailey's sweet teachers had a Mother's Day tea at school a few weeks ago. Her sweet class sang songs, counted, said the ABCs, and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. They had yummy sandwiches, cakes, and cookies! They presented us with some flowers, a questionnaire about their mommies, and a picture book that their teachers made for us. I had to hold back my tears that day because it was so sweet! I am so thankful to to be Anne Bailey and Emerson's mommy!!

Emerson is 22 months!

Emerson turned 22 months on May 9th! She is getting so grown! It really breaks my heart that my baby is growing up! She wants to do everything big sister does so she is doing it faster than I would like. She has really found her voice and talks so much! She says complete sentences and can have a conversation with you now. It is so sweet watching her and Anne Bailey talk and play together! Emerson is such an affectionate child and loves to hug, kiss, and cuddle. She loves to run up and hug your leg when you are not looking. She loves watching frozen, playing babies, barbies, kitchen and coloring. She is learning her ABCs, colors, and can count to 5. We are amazed at how much she is learning everyday!

Emerson loves to eat and thankfully is not too picky. She loves grapes, watermelon, cheese, cereal, poptarts, Mac and cheese, chicken, rice, crackers, popcorn, cookies, and suckers. She will try anything and most of the time she likes it. She takes a 3 hour nap most days and sleeps about 10-12 hours at night. She has gotten in the habit of waking up around 2:30 and crying until we put her in the bed with us. She is such a sweet cuddler but she wants to sleep on top of me and gets mad if I move her. I know that I should try harder to break this habit but I kind of like her wanting to cuddle with me. I know this is me wanting to keep her a baby. I can't believe she will be 2 in a couple of months! I am so not ready for her to be a toddler!!

FUMC Spring Musical

Anne Bailey's spring musical was so cute! The theme this year was Under The Bigtop! Anne Bailey did so good singing every song and did all the hand motions. It was adorable and we are so proud of our little entertainer!

Easter At The Beach

My Mike and Dee Dee rented a house at Inlet Beach in April and we were so lucky to get to spend a few days there. We drove down after school one Thursday and stayed through my birthday and Easter. Natty, Bryan and baby Gia were also there. It was a little chilly most of the trip but we still had a great time. The first day we spent sometime visiting with our friends, the Carrs. We celebrated my birthday on Friday night at Caliza. It was so pretty and the food was yummy. On Easter we attended an outdoor service at Rosemary Beach and then went to an Easter Egg Hunt. It was sprinkling on us most of the morning but we still had fun. We decided to stay one extra day because the weather was finally clearing up. We spent our entire last day playing in the beach. It was such a fun trip and we an't wait for the next one.
