1 Year Checkup

Anne Bailey had her 1 year checkup today! She was so excited to see Dr. Price that she just talked her ear off. Dr. Price was very impressed with her verbal skills and said that she was speaking on a 15 month old level. I am also proud to say that Anne Bailey is reaching all other milestones at the appropriate time. Anne Bailey weighs 24 lbs 6 oz and was in the 89th percentile. Her height is 30.25 inches(2 and a half feet tall) and is in the 78th percentile. Dr. Price said that she is becoming more "proportioned" which we think is doctor talk for "she is not as much of a chunk as last time I saw her". Anne Bailey also had to get 3 shots today. I felt so bad because she was in the best mood and then all of a sudden her little face turned red and she started screaming. Thankfully her monkey and milk sippy cup were waiting there to make her feel better. We are so proud of our sweet girl and so thankful she is healthy and happy!

Fun with Daddy and Cabo

On Tuesday night Ruff and Anne Bailey had a little daddy/daughter time while I went to dinner and a movie with Molly. Since it was a nice afternoon they took Cabo to the park so he could swim. Anne Bailey had so much fun waving at Cabo and watching him swim. Such a fun night with her Daddy!

Walking and Talking

Anne Bailey's favorite thing to do these days is to walk and talk. She always wants to be up walking with the help of furniture or a push toy. She loves to walk and push her baby dolls in the stroller. If you ask her where her baby is she will crawl over to her doll, pick it up, hug it and pat it and then will put it in the baby stroller(usually upside down) and will push it all around the room. It is too cute!

Anne Bailey also talks constantly and is learning a couple new words a day. She has started to repeat words that we say. Dog is still her favorite word but some new ones she has added in the past few days are frog, duck, quack, ball, egg, and of course baby. We are having so much fun learning new words and I just love hearing her sweet little voice. This is such a fun time!!!

Anne Bailey is completely obsessed with dogs right now. Every other word out of her mouth is dog. Every time she sees one, real or fake, she points, smiles, and says dog. She even says dog when there isn't one around. She also says it in the cutest little northern accent. It is so funny! She especially loves her dogs, Cabo and Greta! She lights up anytime they walk in the room. She loves to crawl all over Cabo, play with his collar, and pat him. She also loves to feed Greta. She starts laughing anytime she sees Greta standing under her high chair. She has even started throwing food on the floor for her. We are so glad she is a dog lover too!

Bye Bye Formula and Bottle

Since Sunday Anne Bailey has been formula and bottle free. She had her last formula bottle Saturday night and then started drinking whole milk out of a sippy cup on Sunday. I have to admit I was very nervous about dropping that last bottle because she really loved it. Thankfully the transition to whole milk and a sippy cup went really well! None of us are missing the bottles and formula around here!

Anne Bailey's 1st Birthday Party-Part 1

On Saturday we had Anne Bailey's 1st birthday party at our house. I have been planning this for months now so I was so glad and kind of sad that it was finally here. You know that I love dressing Anne Bailey cute and girly so I went with a Pretty in Pink theme. I thought everything turned out so cute and I know that Anne Bailey will love it one day when she looks back at pictures of it.

Anne Bailey had so many family and friends that came to celebrate with her. It was probably 100 degrees on Saturday but everyone had a great time anyway. All the kids brought riding toys to ride on the tennis court. They had a great time running around playing with each other. It was such a great party and we are thankful to everyone for coming! Anne Bailey is one lucky little girl to have so many people who love her!
