Spring Program at FUMC

Anne Bailey had her spring program last Thursday night at school. The theme was One Nation Under God and it was absolutely ADORABLE! Anne Bailey has been so excited about it and has been practicing singing Yankee Doodle for months. The two year old sang 3 songs and then came back out at the end to sing 4 songs with the rest of the classes. She did so good singing and dancing! We are so proud of our sweet girl!!

9 Month Checkup

Emerson had her 9 month checkup yesterday with Dr. Price. She did great considering we were there for 2 hours! Ugh! Emerson weighs 21 lbs and 13 ounces and is in the 92nd percentile for weight. She is 28 inches long and is in the 56th percentile for length. I compared these to Anne Bailey's stats at this age and they are pretty much right on track minus a few ounces. :)

Emerson did so good as usual and was very cooperative while she was getting checked out. She was so smiley and busy during the appointment! Dr. Price was very impressed with how well she was developing. We did discuss starting some new foods and putting some formula in her sippy cup so she will be more interested in it. Poor Emerson does have another ear infection which is hopefully the cause of the nightly wakings. We are going to try more antibiotics and if that does not work will have to discuss possibly getting tubes in a few weeks.

We are so thankful for our happy and healthy girl!!

Lately!!

We have been busy having lots of fun and I feel like I have gotten really behind on blogging. There are some pictures that are just to cute not to share so I thought I would share them in one post. Enjoy!

9 months old!

Emerson turned 9 months old yesterday!! I am sad thinking about her getting big but excited about all the new things she does daily. She is so sweet and has the sweetest little smile. She is still a mommy's girl but is becoming very fond of Ruff! It is so cute to watch her try and flirt with him!! She adores her big sister and thinks Anne Bailey is so funny! Emerson is army crawling all over the place and is into everything. She is so busy and is not happy just sitting. Ruff and I joke that she is going to be the quiet, sneaky one that we are going to have watch at all times! She does talk some but still only says Da Da. She claps, waves, gives high five, leans in for kisses and reaches for you to hold her. She can also stand for long periods of time if you are holding her hands.  

She is still taking 4 bottles a day and is eating cereal, puffs, yogurt melts, yogurt, mashed fruits and veggies. She must be going through a growth spurt because she is hungry all the time! She LOVES to eat!! Emerson has 4 cute little teeth! She is taking 2 two hour naps a day and is sleeping about 11 hours at night. She does wake sometimes in the night starving and wanting a bottle but hopefully that will not last long. Her likes are food, swinging, bouncing, baths, riding in her pink car, and playing with Emerson.

We are so thankful for this sweet girl!!!

We are so glad the weather is finally feeling like spring! We have been taking complete advantage and spending as much time outside as possible. On Sunday, we took a day trip to the lake to enjoy this great weather.

Easter 2013

We had such a great Easter this year! It was Emerson's first Easter so that made it extra special. Anne Bailey was all about it this year and constantly talked about eggs, the Easter bunny and Jesus. She said Easter morning that "Jesus brought me Easter eggs." Ha! We started out the busy day playing with all the goodies the Easter bunny brought them. It was so fun getting the girls dressed in their sweet Easter dresses that Dee Dee and I made for them (smocked and sewed). I have to brag a bit because I am still amazed and very proud that we did it. We then had a yummy brunch and egg hunt at church before the Easter Service. We then went to My Mike and Dee Dee's house for a fun Easter lunch with the Thomas family. Here are a few pictures from the day!
