First Time to Eat Cereal

Anne Bailey started eating rice cereal on Friday. At first she did not like it at all and cried but now she is loving it. She does so good opening her mouth but doesn't really know what to do with it after that. Everyday she is actually eating a little more than the day before. We are having so much fun and can't wait until we can add fruits and veggies. Here are a few pics from the first day:

What is this stuff?

I don't know about this.

I'm out of here. Where's my bottle?

Really, where is my bottle?

4 months old and checkup

Anne Bailey turned 4 months old on Saturday. I know I say this in every blog but time is really flying by. We feel like she is growing up so fast. The changes we see in Anne Bailey everyday is just amazing. She is just the sweetest and happiest baby ever. We fall in love with her more and more each day. I know for sure her daddy is going to have a very hard time ever telling her no.

Some new things Anne Bailey is doing this month is she is starting to hold her own bottle and sitting up all by herself(not completely straight and only for a few seconds at a time). She is also reaching and grabbing for her hanging toys. She is so curious and is always looking around and studying what is going on in the room. She can already roll over from her stomach to her back but is now working on rolling from her back to her stomach. She is also talking and smiling all the time. She still loves to read, and play on her play gym but watching Baby Einstein is now at the top of her list. When I put her in her bouncy seat in front of the TV and start getting the DVD out her whole face just lights up. She does not stop smiling the entire time it is playing. She talks to it and even sometimes screams at it and laughs out loud. It is one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

So now that I have sufficiently bragged about my child. Here are a few 4 month pics:

love that sweet smile

Anne Bailey had her 4 month checkup yesterday. She did so great and was even showing out for the doctor. Dr. Price said she is a very healthy baby. She weighs 15lbs 15 oz and is in the 90th percentile for weight. She is also 25 and a half inches long and is in the 89th percentile for lengh. The doctor gave us the go ahead to begin cereal this week so I will post pics of that soon. Anne Bailey also had to get her 2nd round of shots. She only cried for a second and then when I picked her up to comfort her I guess she had a minute to think about how bad it hurt because she started crying again for a minute. She really did good and I am so proud of her.

wondering what the nurse is about to do to her

Getting Ready for Christmas

Last Friday Lauren came over to help Anne Bailey and I decorate for the holidays. Since this is Anne Bailey's first Christmas and the first Christmas in our new house I want to make it extra special. Lauren did most of the decorating while Anne Bailey and I watched. Anne Bailey loves looking at the Christmas lights and sparkly ribbon. Thanks Lauren for all the help.

Thanks Aunt Natty for the new pajamas.

On Saturday Anne Bailey attended her first Christmas parade. We met my sister and her family there. Anne Bailey loved watching all the floats and listening to the marching bands. She was having so much fun that she fell asleep right before Santa's float. I guess she will have to wait and see him at the mall.

After the parade we went to Midsouth Nursery to pick out Anne Bailey's first Christmas tree. This is my favorite thing to do and I am super picky about my tree so I hope Anne Bailey will love it as much as me.

All bundled up for the parade

I had such a fun weekend with my little family. I am so looking forward to when Anne Bailey gets old enough to understand what is going on. I know she is going to love Christmas as much as me.

Anne Bailey's First Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we are so blessed to have our baby girl here. We are so thankful that she is healthy and happy. She brings so much joy to our lives and we are loving every moment with her.

Anne Bailey had a great time celebrating her first Thanksgiving. She got lots of attention and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Unfortunately she was a little under the weather but she really was a trooper being draggged all over Tupelo.

We started the day out by visiting my grandmother at the hospice house. Next we headed to Perry and Judy's house to have Thanksgiving lunch with Ruff's family. After that we headed to my uncle Jimmy's house for dessert with my family. I had lots of family in town visiting my grandmother so it was nice to see all of them and let them meet Anne Bailey. Here are a few pics from the week.

We started out Thanksgiving week by spending some time with the Carr Family.

Albert was so funny with Anne Bailey.

On Saturday, Ruff and I went to Oxford to the egg bowl while Anne Bailey spent the night with DD and Big Mike. We were so excited for the dawgs to win. Here is Anne Bailey before the game cheering on the dawgs!

Playdate with Tatum

While Ruff was out of town Wednesday night Anne Bailey and I went over to Lauren's house for dinner. Laura and Tatum Dabbs were in town visiting her parents so they also came over so the babies could have a playdate. Anne Bailey and Tatum are about a week apart so Laura and I have really enjoyed comparing stories over the last few weeks. Anne Bailey and Tatum were so good considering we kept them out past their bedtimes. They were so cute just staring at each other and smiling. I know that when they can really play they are going to have so much fun together. Lauren, Laura, and I also had a great time talking and enjoying a great dinner.

Look at those sweet faces

Looking up at me during dinner probably wondering when she is getting her dinner

A Birthday Party for Friends

On Sunday we drove to Clinton to celebrate Kennedy and Mary Morgan's 2nd birthday. Anne Bailey loved watching all the older kids play on the playground and jump in the bouncy house. She can't wait until she can join in on the fun.

After the party we had a sleepover at the Rowland's house. The Newman's also stayed so Anne Bailey and Audrey Grace had lots of play time while the older kids ran around. The grownups also a great time talking and catching up.

Anne Bailey is 3 months old

Today Anne Bailey turned 3 months old. Time is flying by way to fast but we are having so much fun watching her grow. Everyday we are amazed at the new things she can do. We are so in love with her and feel truly blessed to be her parents.

Anne Bailey is sleeping about 12-13 hours at night with one feeding at about 5:30 or 6:00 in morning. She takes about 3 naps a day. Her favorite activities include eating, playing on her play gym, standing up(with our help), reading books, watching Baby Einstein, watching football(especially State and the Titans), going for walks and rolling over. Her only dislike is when we try and burp her halfway thru her bottle. She does not like her meal interrupted.
